Detroit declines. Yzerman isn't trading his 2023 1st.

Sorry not trading that pick as its likely a lottery pick. I think Vancouver would be better off trying to find a RHD if they trade Horvat.

If Horvat will resign for a decent number then I'd do it.

I think it would depend where Detroit is sitting come deadline time. Sure thing in the playoffs then maybe but not a playoff team or just fringe then no from me.

You would have to take another contract back from TO as well. They are at 50 contracts

I forgot to mention that I wasn't sure of the trade, what are some things that you think could be a better trade for horvat

I could see the 2024 1st in play if Horvat signs a contract extension. I could see a young player Holland drafted being part of the trade. Rasmussen, Veleno or Berggren. Red Wings fans don't like to trade anything of value but to get a guy like Horvat you have to give up something good. So I'd say one of those 3 players I mentioned plus the 2024 1st. If they get outbid then I'd walk away.

Yzerman has said he's not trading 1sts but if the team improves like we think, that 1st should be in the 17-20 range. To get Horvat I can live with that. Having a Larkin-Horvat-Copp at C takes us another step forward.

Kasper will join the team eventually and Copp can be a W where he belongs. If Ras is still here then he can be 3C. If I'm Vancouver I'd want Ras even though Veleno is coming into his own as well. Bergy is a skilled winger who just needs to stay healthy.

The way Wallinder has been playing this season I wouldn't trade him for any offer at all. He's looking better than Edvinsson right now.

Good to know. I haven't had any time at all to keep up with anything or even watch any games.

Pass from Detroit. Bert or vrana ( once he's back) for horvat will work.
