I don't understand all the Yegor for Colton trades. His fancies aren't significantly better than Yegor's, and Yegor put up more points last year.

Because Colton grew up a Devils fan and said it'd be cool to play for them some day.

You can't say stuff like that and get away with it.

Less about points; more about style of play. Colton- Mercer- Zetterlund compliment each other’s game extremely well. It’s a gritty hardworking line that can produce offense. PERFECT playoff line

That doesn't make Colton that much more valuable than Yegor or this trade worth it. You're paying a legit D prospect and a 3rd to sidegrade your third line.

Yea, I'm not on board either of these. If Colton wasn't from NJ, would anyone be seeking him out as much?

Why would we split up the best line in hockey tho? Tatar-Hischier-Zetterlund have been the best line in hockey since they got put together

This is next year. As much as I’d love their success to last forever, that’s not realistic

Him being from NJ has no affect on why I made this trade

I'd argue Sharangovich is worth a bit more than Colton.

Foote and a third

Foote and a 3rd would not come close to getting Colton

Then move on
Yegor is better now, I'd love Colton but Fitz wins trades, this is the opposite of that
