If Leafs need to shed cap for a proper top 6 LW, then I guess they will take that.

Robinson is a deceptively difficult pickup because 1) we lack good forecheckers like him and 2) childhood friendship with Johnny Hockey. In the absence of such factors that might be adequate value, but given that they are there I don't see that working.

-It'd make more sense to ask for minimal retention on one of these deals instead of swapping 7ths with Arizona to eat the $250K bury penalty for Panik. He's playing out his contract in Europe, so there's just zero value in here for Arizona.

-Not sure if Chicago does this. If they move Blackwell, they can probably get a better offer than Ross & a 4th. Hell, basically any prospect you can name & a 4th beat this. Even Joey Anderson & a 4th would beat this.

-Bjork is kinda bad but if you like him, sure, this isn't an awful price and I'm sure Buffalo will be happy to move him. But (and no offense to Sabres fans meant) you have to wonder why you're giving up anything for a guy that has found difficulty finding ice time that last year+ on some middling Sabres teams.

-Will defer to the CBJ fan up thread - but if I'm the Jackets, I think a guy being friends with my star acquisition is going to be more important (especially during a rough season) than a 3rd rounder.

No offense taken at all from this Sabres fan. Bjork is terrible, and a fringe player on his best days. If Buffalo got a 7th in return for him that's robbery considering he went through waivers unclaimed.

Bjork has already been on waviers twice this season so you can probably get him for free but a 7th is about right.
