Last night during the Red Wings/Coyotes game, Mickey Redmond mentioned the price for Chychrun to include 2 1st round picks. I don't know where he's getting his information from. I don't know how accurate it is.

Chychrun is back playing now and looks very good from what I saw. Seems to have a jump in his step again. Or maybe Detroit just made him look good! LOL

About a week ago the insiders were saying it was 2 x firsts and a high end prospect.

I chose to do 2 high end prospects (Let's call them both A- prospects) and a 1st. And maybe a 3rd if they want the deal pushed over the line.

We are in win now mode. I really like Robertson (haven't seen Niemela play but of course people value him a lot). This would be a great package for Arizona for sure. But it helps the Leafs now as well.

It certainly hurts the Leafs cap this year and next having Chychrun over Sandin. And really the Leafs don't need an expensive LHD.

But do we really need him? He's more of a replacement for Rielly than Muzzin and it doesn't really help our offence much. I say getting an impact centre is the bigger add. Really create a matchup problem for other teams. I don't mind having a bottom 6 that works hard and nothing happens when they are on the ice (the situation we have, they don't score much and they give up less) but having a 3rd line that can score some extra goals and dominate 2nd and 3rd lines will be a major game changer.
