That Horvat trade is atrocious. A guy on a 43-goal pace, 2 former 1st round picks and a 2nd.....for a rental?

Just sign him as a UFA.

Canucks pass. Even though the value isn’t terrible, they have no need for anymore wingers, although I don’t mind Rosen being part of the return. No thanks on Olofsson or Krebs though would rather different pieces

If we are going to be using pace, Horvat is one pace for over 65 goals. I agree that the Sabres are not good enough to be rental hunting

Has nothing to do with how good Horvat is. He's obviously a really good player. But VAN is not getting that kind of return.

I don't like both trades. Formenton is not just sitting without a contract and is silent, I think there is something wrong with him because of that story with Canada. Zaitsev is just bad, also on LD.

Formenton doesn't seem like a guy that GMKA would go after at all. Logically it makes sense but the league has investors to "impress" so Formenton probably won't sign in the NHL for a while. I'd rather just see what Krebs and Rosen do than buy very high on Horvat

I think Meier would make more sense, but I would probably be intimidated by his new contract, although he is the ideal player for Buffalo at this stage.
