Trades
1.
PHI
  1. Chychrun, Jakob
Additional Details:
Making a statement with their first big splash, the Flyers go out and acquire one of the hottest trade targets across in the NHL in Jakob Chychrun to play alongside Ivan Provorov on the top pair.
ARI
  1. Attard, Ronnie
  2. Sanheim, Travis
  3. 2024 1st round pick (FLA)
Additional Details:
Arizona gets Philadelphia’s 2024 first round pick alongside the Flyers’ best defender from last season in Travis Sanheim, who kicks off the first year of a long-term extension in 2023-24. Also included is up-and-coming blueliner Ronnie Attard, who is on the cusp of being NHL ready after an impressive start in the AHL.
2.
PHI
  1. 2025 4th round pick (DAL)
NYR
  1. Frost, Morgan
Additional Details:
In a low-risk/high reward situation, the Rangers pay a mid-round draft pick a couple years down the line to give Morgan Frost a chance to flourish alongside talented players in the Big Apple. Frost has shown flashes of high-end skill throughout his short and unestablished NHL career, but has not found much offensive success early on this season.
3.
PHI
  1. Peterka, John-Jason
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (PHI)
  3. 2024 4th round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
In another aggressive move to sell high, the Flyers grab one of Buffalo’s top prospects in JJ Peterka along with the second round pick they packaged to acquire Rasmus Ristolainen two summers ago.
BUF
  1. Konecny, Travis
  2. 2023 6th round pick (PHI)
Additional Details:
The Sabres receive the Flyers’ best player in 25-year-old Travis Konecny, who is right on the brink of entering the prime of his career. At over a point per game pace prior to a hand injury sidelining him, Konecny has potential to become a regular 80-point player.
4.
PHI
  1. Jenkins, Blade
  2. 2024 3rd round pick (NYI)
NYI
  1. van Riemsdyk, James ($3,500,000 retained)
Additional Details:
JVR had five points in six games before taking a puck off the hand and undergoing surgery that has him sidelined into December. As we have seen time and time again, he is an established 20-goal scorer who will reach that mark even in the most ridiculous ways. More goal scoring help could propel this Islanders team into a deeper playoff run.
5.
PHI
  1. 2024 3rd round pick (TBL)
TBL
  1. Braun, Justin ($500,000 retained)
Additional Details:
After losing Ryan McDonagh and Jan Rutta over the summer, the Bolts’ defense is not exactly what it once was. To secure some added depth for another deep playoff run, Tampa brings in veteran Justin Braun. He’s a very simple “what you see is what you get” defender, who doesn’t usually stick out for better or for worse.
6.
PHI
  1. 2024 4th round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
With Ryan Reaves securing a fifth round pick in return for the New York Rangers, the Flyers use that benchmark and take advantage of MacEwen’s offensive stats to bump the return up a round.
EDM
  1. MacEwen, Zack
Additional Details:
The Edmonton Oilers want more grit. Zack MacEwen is a player who embodies that and more. Following a brief stint in the AHL at the beginning of the season, Big Mac is rejuvenated and is one of the most noticeable players for Philadelphia on a consistent basis. His undeniable work ethic and recent offensive findings have made him one of the more valuable enforcers in the league.

TB doesn't have the cap and has Cernak, Perbix, Bogosian, Foote and Myers on the right side. When Cirelli comes back most likely before the new year TB has to do some cap gymnastics.

Sabres decline- Peterka not available imo

And we have so much young forward talent, that i highly doubt we’d consider spending assets to bring in a winger.

I think you’ll have to find another team for Konecny

The Braun trade is honestly one of those things where it really doesn’t matter which team it is because just about any contender would take him at 50% for a pick. But yeah I get that cap would likely be an issue

Price is fine for JVR - not sure if he's the guy I'd want the Islanders to target but if that was the trade I'm not upset about it. Would hope it's not their *only* move, though.

Though forgetting the retention, and taking Myers could be workable.

For Drury this is a deal, they need centers more than 4th round picks. Thanks smile

Yeah agreed. JVR at that price is totally fine.
