It's an interesting point. They could absolutely go all in and get a guy like Kane or Meier and it kinda screws with what they have.

I think getting a 3rd line upgrade over Frederic is the right move. Either for a younger guy like Jeannot or a vet like Toews and move Coyle to 3RW. add a depth dman and I think that's a successful deadline

On one hand, the group is performing amazingly, 66% of your forwards are pending UFA's plus there is Swayman's payday, this might be the best chance at a cup for the next decade.

On the other side, this is probably the last rodeo for some of these guys, if you swing and miss, you are going to rue any futures you shipped out.

Depends on what it is. If they make some moves to clear cap space i.e Reilly & Smith then no. It would actually help Boston for next year as they won't need to carry over as much bonus coverages from Bergeron & Krejci
