don't hate it. Don't think we'd have to give more than the 1st (maybe a lower quality prospect with it), but I don't hate it. If we add to the defence I can't think of many players I'd prefer to get.

Imagine if Calgary, for just once, decided to sell at the deadline and actually recoup draft picks and prospects. Sadly, retool/rebuild are not in their vernacular. What's more likely is we will get another 4th line Sutter player and push for a mediocre pick.

It’s definitely better but Girard is a decade younger (basically) signed 3 more years for less money. That’s a huge kicker short for my taste.
