Kyrou would be a requirement in a package for Svech. Besides, Svech isn’t getting moved, let alone for a lousy return like this one.

Gonna be some UFA or even RFA goalies available in the summer. With their cap, Sabres are in a nice position to acquire a goalie looking for a home. Probably no need to trade for one.

If you dropped Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen out and added 2023 1st round pick (STL) and 2024 1st round pick (STL) to Binnington Buffalo may still say no.
A $6,000,000 AVV for the next four years considering his steady production decline does not make him an asset.
While Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen's GAA and SV% are not stellar, the Sabres are surrendering too many uncontested shots from the slot.

For Svechnikov, try starting with Kyrou and Thomas instead of Barbashev and Tarasenko. make Torpchenko Neighbours, and maybe even add another 1st. This is a LONG way off one of the only power forwards left in the league

The 6m cap space will be more important to any middle first round draft picks for the Sabres.
I wouldn't worry about this year for the Sabres, they aren't making the playoffs. But in the summer there will a good opportunity to get a good goalie (and person).
