Even then I don’t see the Canucks giving up any 1sts. Maybe for younger players (like the Habs trade to get Dach)

When your second to last in the league in hits/gm I think it’s worth risking the picks at least we know Wilson will throw a hit/stand up for his teammates.

Also not sure what the caps playoff success since the play in has anything to do with this especially since the devils haven’t even made the playoffs in that time

More "hits", sounds like a team that doesn't have the puck much and therefore has to hit to try to retrieve the puck.

Grit is overrated for the regular season imo. They are in a rough patch, they’ll figure it out. Also trading 3 picks and a prospect that can bring size and grit to the bottom 6 for a guy coming off a serious ACL injury is not good asset management.

Fun fact, we didn't win a play in because we were one of the 4 eastern conference teams that got a bye. But Wilson has been one of the best players on the Caps for years now, especially in the playoffs lol. Every team should/would want him.
