Description

Just a couple of mid-season thoughts. These are NOT serious trade ideas so everybody CHILL before commenting.

-would probably have to throw in a sweetener on Campbell, but if we are going to get mediocre goaltending, I would at least like to not have to pay too much for it. At $5m, Campbell is just not worth it. Could we trade Anaheim for Gibson hoping that he will rebound? This season is being sunk by goaltending.

-Am I crazy, or does Holloway look amazing out there? (minus the defensive play and questionable line changes) . . . I want to see him play with McDavid or Draisaitl.

How the heck does Nurse make more than Roman Josi??? He should be called Darnell Pastry Chef because of all the turnovers. He can play great, but I am not seeing 9.25m right now. I hope that changes.

Campbell has a negative value, Nurse has a negative value.

Puljujärvi's value is tanking.

I am not taking your thread seriously regarding threads as you asked, but you would need to pay to move Campbell and Nurse at this point, unfortunately.

Idk what it'd take to dump Campbell in the offseason, his buyout isn't that bad but 8 years of dead cap is crazy, the Preds did it with Turris though.
Edmonton would've been much better off making the Georgiev trade and signing.

Add broberg and XB and a first to the AZ deal

Everything you wrote in the Nurse trade description is precisely why they don't take that deal for one of the best defensemen in the world

Still early to tell on Campbell. He could have a great spring like Talbot did and everything will be okay. He has always been a decent goalie and there is no reason to think that he will not be one again. Buying him out is a terrible idea, in my opinion. Better to wait and see if he will rebound. Or maybe trade him for another goalie that is also slumping and hope that they will both rebound? I dunno.
