AZ has stated they want two top prospects and a 1st and you're not only sending less than that, you're expecting AZ to retain 50% for three years? LOL

The money is irrelevant to Arizona. They barely get to the floor every season, and it's not like they're planning on contending any time soon. I haven't seen an offer on this sub that beats Knies, 1st, 3rd, 3rd. Most people are trying to send back a cap dump with a 1st and top prospect.

Arizona isn't retaining 50% on Jakob Chyhrun, Especially if you're not sending picks and prospects they need.

Garland and Horvat get a better offer, Once again Nick isn't his brother jason Niemela is okay they can get better Kerfoot and Engvall are just dumps Picks are late. And you'd need to add another 1st for Garland alone.

I've seen PLENTY of better offers on here. Knies is a so so prospects and AZ wants two TOP prospects. Garbage deal from a typical leafs fan on here.

This proposal is all quantity and no quality. Giving VAN pieces they don't need in Robertson, Kerfoot and Engvall which are all rentals to a team not playoff-bound, so this trade is basically a 1st, Niemela and a 2nd for Horvat and Garland lol

Wow, that's such a big overpay in that Vancouver deal. Garland is putting up Kerfoot type numbers and the Leafs certainly don't want him at 4.9m for over three and half years.
Haven't made the defence better either. Guess fans aren't happy with the 3rd best team in the NHL.

Teams don't retain on fair value contracts that have 2.5 years of term on them.

The numbers, size, literally everything between Garland and Kerfoot is kind of eerily similar. But Garland is 100% worth 1.4 M more. This is because he is a not a leaf. And Kerfoot sucks because he is a leaf. Facts.

Theyre gonna be far more concerned with paying the money even if the cap hit doesnt hurt them
