Hello! I am not very good at determining value. So bare with me! The Avs do not have the assets to make another big splash at the deadline. But what they can do is a sneaky trade like this (Tampa bay like). Bednar loves his speedy high energy guys and Trenin fits that bill. I understand that Kaut could've been taken on waivers. However, I just decided to throw him in as another young player in need of a change of scenery. Perhaps Trenin becomes JT's replacement when the Avs can't re-sign him. Not having the greatest year this year. However, 17 goals last year. And 3 goals in 4 playoff games last year. Nashville hopefully accepts they are in need of a rebuild. And Trenin is just one of the first casualties to move. Let me know your thoughts. Is there a fit here? Is the value fair? What would make this go through to work for each team? Thanks. I'm new to this...As evident by my screwing up publishing this trade like 3 times.

I kind of thought it was an overpay. But teams tend to overpay at the deadline. I just figure since Trenin has an extra year on his contract, and it's relatively cheap. He may cost a bit more. Would a 3rd be more fair vale for him?

Ah thanks! I'd love to see Trenin in an Avs jersey. I think he'd fit quite well with Bednar's system.

I feel like I can’t objectively comment on this because Trenin always looks so productive against the Avs. Same with Colton Sissons.

If Helm can't go, there's a world where this works for COL. Having a 2nd year on the contract is attractive. Even if its an overpay, the Avs aren't using the pick to draft anyone, so who cares. I would love Trenin on the Avs!
