Id be more comfortable removing Kostenko and adding another mid round pick. Sabres could also remove their 4th

No clue who are those russian prospects. Dvorak is nothing that Sabres should be interested in - his contract is bad for the future.

Portillo is a great goalie prospect, i wouldn't mind giving all that for him.

It appears there is decent support for this trade.

If this your proposal, Dvorak, Sobolev, 2023 3rd round pick (MTL), and 2023 4th round pick (MTL) for Mittelstadt, and Portillo it would interest me as well.

I guess we are starting to build something doable @gretzkyghosts I agree, it would have been nice if all of the ACGM's you tagged had given strong comments
Both Christian and Casey could use a change.
Casey just scored two goals tonight and he played with more energy than I have seen in a long time.

@BUFF36 You are correct, I hate moving Portillo and two RHD prospects are better.
If Portillo will not sign with the Sabres, the trade proposed by JeffGorton in this post, may be enough to make the difference getting a second mid round pick.

@Czu8iks While Dvorak costs more, he does win FO an area that Buffalo needs some help.
If he could get both Olofsson and Krebs scoring this could be a big win for the Sabres.
With three scoring lines the Sabres could prove to be very dangerous if they reached the playoffs.

Let me add, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen appears to be the real deal
He was left out to dry on all three goals against him tonight.

Let's all remember this is all for fun and when have we ever guessed a trade?

Dahlin, Power, Cozens all need big extensions. Defense need upgrade. Possible a goalie too. There are better way to spend money than on 3rd/4th liner Dvorak at 4,65 mil.

He's only signed for 2 more years, even if Dahlin signs a extension this summer it wouldn't kick in until the following year, same with Power. Sabres wouldn't have much problem fitting his 4.5m for the next 2yrs

I am not sure. Is he that better than Mittelstadt ? With Mittelstadt, you know what you have, what is his ceiling, and he could be gone, before Savoie and other are ready. Dvorak, you get unknown for 3 yrs.

Really don't want Dvorak, I want the RD prospects. But he's a decent player. I wanted the Sabres to trade for him 2 offseason ago but with the way some of the prospects have developed I don't see a need for him now. But he wouldn't hurt us either.

Funny thing even with Tage's and Samuelsson new deals the Sabres are still almost 11mill under the floor next year. Sure they have some roster spots to fill, but the nice thing there is they have the prospects next year that should be ready to take some of those spots. Sabres are in a very good spot right now, and when we might need to start worrying about the cap in say 4 yrs it should be in the 90m or above range by then.

Well, well, well you make a very valid point IMHO.
While Casey's two goals had a lot of puck luck, he has missed several goals for the same reason lately.
Shibbal and Fjordy have been very vocal of their disappointment with Casey and during the 17 game stretch where he only garnered 6 pts over 17 they were correct
Casey has played much better lately (6 pt/7gm) and over the entire season has 4 more pts than Christian does playing 3 fewer games.
Christian has a better career resume and can win face offs and PK, both areas the Buffalo could improve.

I guess this trade may not benefit the Sabres much.

Thank you very much for your comments.

Why, Sabres could use a good FO guy, especially on PK. This could work for both players.

Those are the reasons I would do the trade, especially the one proposed in this post.
Buffalo moves up from 4th to 3rd round (considering how well Buffalo is playing that could be 45 spots and the third could be around the 70th over all, giving Buffalo FIVE early picks), they get two RHD prospects and a PK center who can win FO.
They give up a young center man who at times does not seem to be trying (his play is much better lately), a GK who may not sign with Buffalo and add an extra $2,000,000 to their cap.
Add this trade to your post https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/3831314 and Buffalo would have the makings of a play off team.
Upgrading the defense and bottom 6 forwards.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen is playing much better and none of the goals were his fault.
Bryson essentially centered the puck for Soderblom to feed a wide open Kubalik.
Four Sabres could not reach the puck and Kubalik scores a PPG with a wide open net.
All five Sabres were on the left side of the ice, Girgensons should not have allowed Oesterle an uncontested open shot.

While losing in Boston would not be catastrophic, winning would indicate the team is playoff ready.
