First: if you are getting rid of Haag and Psyk, keep Oesterle. He is cheap, he knows the system, he likes being in Detroit, he fills in nicely as the 7th D. I'd take Oesterle over Lindstrom.
Second: I dunno what a Bertuzzi return looks like until he comes back. By mid February we will know. I have no idea who the Toronto prospect is, but it should surely be someone with a top half the roster ceiling if Bertuzzi returns to his last year form. If he falters, I'd say a high prospect and a 1st might be it, but at that point, the contract talks might get within a range to mitigate team rusk, and Bertuzzi stays in Detroit.
Third: I guess. Probably more like a 4th or 5th. Erne doesn't crack a lot of lineups in the league unless there are injuries.
Fourth: All depends on the market rate. If things are crazy, sure, but maybe Detroit sends a 6th or a prospect that won't be signed. If things go how I expect, a 3rd would be safe for Suter, maybe a 2nd if conditions are met.
Fifth: Trying to start some stuff on here eh? Highly unlikely, but this trade accomplishes both teams needs. Zadina is the hard working two way player Gallant wants Lafreniere to be. Lafreniere is the offensive dynamo (potentially) that Detroit needs. It could work out. Zadina is the better player today, but I'd say Lafreniere will be better overall. Both need a change of scenery, and both could be successful elsewhere.
Sixth and seventh: I guess. Change of scenery everywhere. Could be a good deal all around, or could he forgotten by all in a year.
Eighth: Perron stays. No deal. I understand the return is great, and NJ probably doesn't bite anyway, but Perron wears the A for a reason, and he means a ton to the team as a bridge veteran.
