I think you would have to include Liljegren and delete other assets as needed to even it out. The Wings don't have a right side replacement for Seider, you're right to ask if the Wings would consider moving him at all, but if they got Liljegren and Nylander (and a 1st?) for him, I kinda wonder.. then again, Liljegren and Nylander for Seider might not make Leafs fans too happy lol. Dunno.

Seiders potential is thru the roof so if I were a Leafs fan I’d be ecstatic

Stevie knew what he was doing going off the board to draft him 6th overall.. heck, if he becomes 75% of Cale Makar, he'd be pretty well untouchable for sure.

I can't see DET giving him up. This is a good offer, but he's a special player and another year of team control is huge.

He’ll be a top 10 defenceman probably even top 5 at some point, I mean he’s already top 20 I believe

I forgot to mention something I was thinking about. In the big picture, yeah Seider would be absolutely perfect for Toronto. Yet, this season they still need Nylander to try and win the cup. Not having someone come in from Detroit in the deal to pick up the slack (like David Perron), it would weaken the Leafs too much up front!

Yeah that’s very true, throw in Liljegren and could maybe get a rental like Bertuzzi, or would Bertuzzi be too much of an add for Detroit?

I think Bertuzzi is damaged goods. His value to Detroit is what they'll be able to get for him on the market. He's too injury prone in my opinion to be worth what he is asking for salary wise - if he comes back healthy and STAYS healthy all season long and through the playoffs, then as a rental he'd obviously be worth a lot. But it's the risk!!

I'd rather get a player like Perron than Bertuzzi. Perron is a big game playoff player, worth so much more to Toronto than Bertuzzi.

Quick, distract Steve while his AGM clicks "accept" on the screen.... *beep* "electronic transfer of $10,000,000 from @Dubie-Dubie-Doo to @DetAGM"

Consider it probably not. They'd listen to the offer but easily decline.

I wouldn't sell Seider for parts, I mean what are we doing at that point. Unless he returns a young center that's equal to his potential you just can't do it.
