Description
Now this will put pens in cap hell next year. If we re sign Sean 6x4 to play on 71 lw

I think Vancouver takes the deal cause now they can offer Bo 11x8. Instead what he turn down 8x8

Blackhawks take Carter cause if they have a fire sale they will need players to play next year. Pens just have have him to waive his non move option. Only thing I can see Montreal my want maybe someone like hallander and I would be ok with that

Habs would probably take deal as it would make it a little eaiser to deal edmundson( or they probably could trade dumolin for a small return).

As far as the prospects go really the only thing i could see the habs wanting is potentially blomqvist but someone like hallander wouldnt really interest them (dont really want anymore small guys). I could see them asking for nylander to help bolster laval for the season

There's no way VAN offers Bo 11x8 right?

Also - the issue isn't will CHI take Carter - it's will Carter go to CHI. Don't see how he says yes

Carter has Full NMC and doesn't go anywhere, and Burke wants to keep him.

There is a decent chance that Bo can get a high number, 5 20-goal seasons and 2 of them be 30-goal seasons after this one at 27. Might not be 8 years but he would be well within in rights to ask for 10 per, if you look at comparables and the trend of the cap right now Goals get you paid.

That being said I don't see the Canucks moving Boser he has way too much value at his cap hit rn. I did hear that Pitt was trying, but it was to play him with Crosby.

Yeah Carter is here to stay for sure.

What would be good comparables? The best one I had in mind was Kadri and he got 7x7. I think it's a mistake if they give him 10. Yeah I don't think the Pens have the cap space to make Boeser work. It would take multiple other moves most likely which I don't see happening.

Point 6 +20 goal season, 2 +30 goal seasons - 9.5
Rantanen 6 +20 goal seasons, 3 +30 goal seasons - 9.5
Thachuk 5 +20 goal seasons, 2 +30 goal seaosn - 9.5

I know Horvat doesn't maybe have the D game or the physical side of these guys but if you look at the trend of contracts, and think from the player side this is what you come to the table with for negotiations. Plus Horvat is a C who always get a little more, and he is putting up these numbers on a weaker team than the players above.

I am not saying that he is 100% worth 9+ per season or more, but again if you were in his shoes and going into a negotiation seeing the cap going up a lot in the next few years and his numbers you are 100% asking for +10 to start then you negotiate back down from there.

I am pens fan but I do read a lot what other teams writers say. But on Bo the rumor he turn down 8x8 is that because he wants more or just put Vancouver??? He is on pace for 50 goals and around 100points. Now do I think he worth it no but I can see he does. He signs for 10m who knows. If I was Vancouver before I make that trade I would sign him.

Montreal and would do nylander.

For Carter I did say it would be hard to trade him but again I would talk to him 1 before making any trades. If he does not want to be traded at all. Just do habs trade then.

Yeah I mean it would definitely make sense for him to come to the table asking for that number - why wouldn't you start high as a player. I just think his value is a good bit lower than that and VAN would be crazy to give him Point/Rantanen/Tkachuk money - as they are clearly a league above. There's obviously more than goals that matter - as you referenced - plus all 3 of those players got to their goal numbers in less time.

Horvat has a 26/28/55 scoring line per 82 games - and that's including the outlier of a season he's having this year.

Point 34/39/73
Rantanen 35/49/84
Tkachuk 30/45/75

I get you're more trying to say what is fair for him to come and ask for. I was more talking baout what his value actually is and what VAN will offer or sign him for.
