I'm not saying Yzerman bites for sure, but you've certainly got his attention.

LOL Chytil has 1/4 the value of Larkin, We don't need LD so Hajek is a no go and 2 late 1st round picks are 23rd and 31st overall isn't going to cut. Make Hajek Schneider and we might think about it.

Yeah I'd hope for a deal like that for him. Young center 2 1sts can't ask for much more.

LOL fine Larkins worst season is better than Chytils best season, Chytils numbers are as a 3C and we already have tons of 3C. We need a far better upgrade than Chytil. Even a rental Larkin gets a far better offer than this. only the 1st round picks has any real value.

Young Center whose best season is only 23 points, Talk about a major downgrade. 2 1st are of only real value in the whole trade.

LOL Chytil has 24 points in 38 games this year. He took a major step forward in the playoffs last year and brought that into this season. Its mostly 5v5 production too. He has 20 points in 38 games at 5v5 this year. Larkin has 27 in 43 minutes. In terms of powerplay, Chytil has 4 PP points in 46m on the PP, Larkin has 13 in 158 minutes on the PP. I'll keep my "major downgrade" Chytil that's 3 years younger, resign him for 3-4m cheaper than Larkin, and the two first round picks. The production is almost identical anyway.

He has 24 pts right now in 39 games so he's growing. He's what 23. Besides your gonna have to down grade if you trade Larkin. You aren't going to get an equal player back for him. We know if yzerman moves him he's gonna want those picks.

laugh Wow i stand corrected, And yet Larkin has 41 points in 43 games nearly a PPG. Chytil is still half the player Larkin is on a very good Rangers team. Keep Chytil and we keep our Captain.

And yet he's the same age as Rasmussen with similar production. Sorry not trading Larkin for virtually a 3C we already have far too many of them now.

You obviously don't understand ratios. But okay. I guess ignorance is bliss.

To somewhat educate you, see below:

Chytil - P/60 = 2.7; P/60 5v5 = 2.2; P/60 PP = 5.2
Larkin - P/60 = 2.9; P/60 5v5 = 2.0; P/60 PP = 4.9

Chytil is a prime example of just needing/deserving an expanded role.

No 100% series. Why would nyr trade for Larkin anyway what are they gunna do put trocheck on the 3rd line? Chytil is more cost control and Larkin would be a rental. Pointless

Agree to disagree, only reason why Chytils ceiling is infinity higher than Ras. Is because Chytil plays on a high powered Rangers team while Ras plays on a low scoring wings team. Other than that sorry they're similar players.

So I agree Chytil could improve in an expanded role and see production increase. All numbers aside he isn't as good as Larkin is right now but he's productive in his role for sure. If in some way Detroit makes a deal with NY id absolutely love to take him.

NYR is a goal a game team the last couple a games, not really the BOS or EDM team. NYR is more like a limping TBL.

100% for proven vs unproven in terms of value (with Larkin being the more valuable right now). The other guy was just harping that Chytil is nothing, has done nothing, and will never be a top 6 player. I was simply making the point that I'll sign chytil for a $4-5m deal for 8 years and expand his role than give Larkin $8-9m for 8 years. The value in the $4m in savings can not be undervalued. In terms of outplaying the value of your next contract, Chytil has a lot more potential in that aspect than Larkin. Not to mention NYR get to keep the two 1st rounders in a deep draft on top of it.

And it's really not even close. Larkin's had 31 goals last season and Chytil hasn't been able to put up 30 points in a single season. In the last 2 seasons Suter put up more points than Chytill did.

I'd imagine they would want someone like Korczak or Zach Jones and a 2023 1st as a starting block but I could definitely be wrong

Dude young and getting better is all I ment. He's on a 50 pt pace this season. I'm more comfortable in a Larkin deal if we get a young center back who is at least nhl level. We need something tangible not just more draft picks that can turn into who knows what.
