Buccigross is an announcer not an NHL insider. Anyone who thinks that Ron Francis is trading Shane Wright for Bo Horvat. Isn't living in reality.

Why don’t you trade Miller and keep Horvat?
With the money you have left you can also keep Kuzmenko.
Cal Foote is worth more than Schenn.

I dont know if foote is worth more than schenn. I see them as equal value. No one wants miller with his new contract for the next 7 years. The management failed again by not moving him out last year. Vancouver would look alot different if they moved miller (2022) horvat and kuzmenko (2023). But Rutherford thinks he's still knows more than the rest of the nhl.... but he's horrible.

I dont see a trade happening for horvat and Seattle. Wright would have to be part of the trade but I can't see them trading him. Seattle is still building for the future.

Agreed. I think you'd be looking at something more like Geekie, Firkus, the 1st in '23 and the 2nd in '24. The 2nd round pick is the cost of dealing Horvat to their regional rivals. Maybe the Canucks retain on Horvat.

I don't see that as being enough to get it done.

Ya I agree. It just seems like an impossible trade for both sides. But I wouldn't mind seeing Wright as a future 2c behind pettersson. But I'm not getting my hopes up. I also don't see Wright as a 1st line center, but he has a lot of time to prove me wrong.

I will give you plaudits for the creative title, and being the first to realize that in a hypothetical Wright-Horvat swap, Vancouver would be the one adding assets to get it done. That being said, I still don't believe there is even a remote chance that any trade for Bo Horvat will involve Shane Wright. If the Kraken are serious about adding Horvat, they have the pieces to do so while keeping Wright.

Pretty sure that ship has sailed. Bo won't stay in Vancouver unless he gets a deal he can't say no to, and the Canucks don't view Horvat as a first line player, so they don't want to pay him like one.

Let's not forget, Miller has been in the top 20 of scoring forwards since he became a Canuck. Is 8 mil per out of place amongst those other 19 players? Miller's production over the last 3 years earned him that extension.

You're not accounting for Schenn's value to Vancouver. They plan on extending him and see him a valuable part of their leadership moving forward. You have to make it worth it to them to move him.

Then keep him He's a number 7 at best for TB. Rather see TB go after a Benning, or Braun or Mayfield anyway.

I don’t see either team (Van/Sea) doing that trade. Wright certainly has some red flags and failed to even dominate at the WJC. This does not scream an elite player. Bo is proven and should bring back more value than that….

I'd take Wright in the deal and be happy if he became an elite 3C for them. They're going to get shot at a solid 2C in this draft. But for me, it would have to be Wright and their 1st. I'm not trading him to Seattle unless the Kraken are willing to overpay, and I can't see Francis doing that.

If Miller is that good Vancouver should be able to move him now. Horvat is the better Leader which is what they need.

FYI Ken Holland has never traded a 1st for a rental in his entire career.
