The reply I quoted had zero info for or against any returns suggested here. Monahan, if healthy leading up to and at the deadline, will be traded for the best possible return, wherever that may be.

why do you think avs fans have been against it, as mentioned in the original post, its bc the asks are not even remotely reasonable for a pending UFA who has an extensive injury prone history. He was s suppose to be out for a week and thats has now been what a month and a half? His issue of being healthy will always be there, that is why the 1st round stuff is unreasonable, he will never be healthy to warrant a return of that

Ah, it’s you again! You comment something similar on a lot of Avs/Habs trades. Once again:

Nobody is talking about Lehkonen, a young guy that was a pending RFA. This trade is about Monahan, an injury prone middle 6 player who is a pending UFA. Monahan does not possess any of the things that warranted a relatively large return for Lehkonen.

Monahan hasn’t even played for a month and a half. Avs fans aren’t shutting down trades as a personal vendetta against Hughes. Monahan just doesn’t have 1st round value.

Not comparing Lehkonen to Monahan at all. All i said is people were wrong saying that about Lehkonen last year. That's funny because i thought they would have learned by now.

However, i don't think Monahan have 1st round value too, but that was said about many rentals over the last few years.

Maybe something like Copp last year, two 2nds with one being a conditional 1st for winning two playoffs rounds. Still a huge win for MTL.
