Description

Read an article suggesting the Leafs trade for Meier this year as a rental and than flip him at the 2023 Draft to regain the picks.

I added a twist that Dubas starts talking to Nylander concerning a contract extension but feels the asking price is too high and than flips him and sign Meier instead.

The trade value in this ACGM are pointless, no matter who or what assets I place in the trade, I'll get trolls.

So... figure it out yourself.

and sure, go ahead, find me a guy like Meier who took anything close to that big of a pay cut on an 8 year term.
And again, if you think Nylander is going to be too expensive, then why would Meier take less? If Nylander is asking for, as you said in other threads 10 mill aav, then why is Meier not going to ask for that? especially when hes guarenteed it if he wants?

Not enough for Timo. You'll have to give up some of Dubas precious prospects since your pick are all at the end of rounds

Why would you trade Nylander? The guy has been awesome this year.

Why would you trade Nylander? The guy has been awesome this year.

Dubas has maybe 2 or 3 interesting prospects, the Leafs pool is shallow.

Nylander's camp was a headache for Dubas to deal with. I doubt they will play nice when they know UFA market will be open.

Yeah but lets face it he's a steal at 6.9 AAV. much better than Tavares
