Zetterlund alone might be enough...Bertuzzi has been slowed by injuries this year and is UFA. Probably better to wait until off-season.

I assure you if zetterlind alone is the offer, either someone else will take the risk or we’ll hold him and try in ufa.

I'm not sure...

Walsh is eligible for waivers next year. Do we want a young offensive defender on the third pair next year? We're likely to have Edvinsson on the left side and two young offensive defenders paired together might not be the best idea.

Zetterlund may have reached his ceiling already. If he caps out at a half point per game then this deal will be on the lower end of what I'd like to see as a return for Bert.

It's very good value here but I really don't want the Devils to give up Zetterlund, nor does it make much sense to trade for Bertuzzi (or any pending UFA), regardless of whether an extension is included or not.

Underwhelming at best, but if they traded him today, that's probably fair value.

Bert looked better the last couple games (hitting the post, winning puck battles), I still think he raises his stock by the time TDL actually hits and nets more than this. I'm starting to agree with the growing sentiment that he'll likely sign a 1 year "show-me" extension to raise his value and try again next year for the payday.

Walsh was kind of a throw in, hoping to find another Walman and I would likely pair him with Chiarot, but that would mean Edvinsson would be with Hronek or Seider. I like Zetterlund and I think he's a bit underrated.

I do agree it is underwhelming, but also I was looking at comparable for a Meier Trade and some of the returns were also underwhelming.

Me too, I think he could blossom well given a chance.

I'd take zetterlund and a 3rd right this second and be happy about it.

Reportedly Calgary, Dallas and Toronto have interest in Bertuzzi, Knowing Yzerman pretty sure he'll get more for Bert than what we're expecting.

Idk, when it comes to Zetters, I prefer Bergs over Lands.

Highly doubt that Zetterlund has reached his ceiling at 23 years old and only 50 nhl games under his belt.

Fabian never was a top talent during his junior years and never showed anything when playing against men in Sweden. He has only had one really good season in his career and that was last season in the AHL. There are more things pointing to last year being the outlier here than the opposite.
