Like GeneralLandro pointed out, Ana won't trade him unless they get something significant, and then the Leafs will want retention, and Anaheim will want more so there's no match there.

Like you said in the trade description and CBJ fans will likely say the same before I post, but Jenner won't be available this deadline.

The idea though isn't a bad idea in terms of acquiring these players.

Yes, Jenner simply isn't available. One of probably 3 untouchables on the team. It would take a ludicrous offer for CBJ to even think about it (like...Knies and 2 1sts for Jenner alone), so that alone is prohibitive.

I'll add my voice to the chorus . . . no, we're not trading away a guy we just signed (our new GM's first free-agent signing) unless he asks for a trade (nicely), and Columbus isn't trading away Jenner, ever.

Honestly, I don't think they trade Jenner for Knies+2 1sts (don't think the Leafs offer that either) unless JK thinks they can run Knies at C or they acquire a 1/2C prior to this trade or unless it helps them acquire a legit 1/2C. Even if we ignore the leadership aspect, reading a reliable C when they are in search of another.
