true. exactly the same as the habs pretty much. Garbage RHD, bums on forward making too much, although the Nucks at least have a goalie. The only Canadian franchises that have a chance at the cup for the next 10 years are the Leafs, Jets, maybe Sens. Pacific will soon be dominated by Kings, Ducks, Seattle so not much hope for Oilers and Calgary.

Is Beauvillier a young, cost controlled C? Don't think so, so don't see the Avs doing that.

Because what COL really needs to do having Rantanen, Nichushkin, Landeskog, Lehkonen, Compher, and Erod all who are out producing Beauvilier is to spend a 1st on a guy making over $4M and who has never even had a 40pt season. That’s a pass by COL.

Beauvillier just doesnt move the needle like you said. I wouldnt mind him as a low buy candidate hopping he rebuilds his game, but 4m aav for a guy who has been pretty bad to mediocre for few seasons in a row now, not worth he cap and isnt worth 1st round pick

Exactly. It amazes me how players get so overrated because they have a decent season. In case of Beauvilier he has had one 20 goal season and 3 30+ pt seasons, but then a guy like Compher who also has 3 career 30+ pt seasons and plays all 3 forward spots is a guy who is a chump.
