Description

Greenway needs a change of scenery. Minny gets a hometown kid with term and contract control in return. I add Clague as a solid 2-way depth option for them

Edmundson I included as a long-term leader for this group. I would give him a roughly 2-year extension on top of his contract to be a mentor to the young core of D. Montreal is firing a full rebuild, and a 2nd + a B-prospect who's playing well in the AHL should be enough to get it done. Just depends if he waives his M-NTC.

Yeah, could be more like Rosen + 3rd or a 4th, but a vet D man who's name has already been floated out there might need a little more.

Rosen shouldn’t even be considered to get Edmundson
That’s just a horrible overpay
Both your trades are

And Greenway is t good at hockey
He’s a 4th liner that brings nothing to the table but physical play- and that just gets him hurt constantly
Not at all a guy we should target
And if we did, it’s ridiculous to suggest we give up Mitts
We could get him for a mid round pick, but he probably wouldn’t even be worth that

I don't think I would place Rosen in the B prospect category. He is a 14th overall pick that is playing in the ahl two years after being drafted. He was very good against kids his own age at the world juniors, I think he still has some filling out to do. I think you are selling him a bit short.
