Sharks probably accept this but Buffalo shouldn’t, Karlsson playing at a Norris level at less than 6 mil a year is worth a ton at 25% retained remove a prospect and a 1st and no retention should be for 1 st only IMO

NOPE
Karlsson is gonna cost too much to acquire,
has too big of a Cap hit,
is under contract for way too long at his age (turning 33)

I can’t see any way at all the Sabres would even consider it

Karlsson is likely not going to be traded. I'd say a 10% chance he gets moved ever.

Thought I read somewhere the Sharks were willing to retain 18% on EK65 and wanted two 1st round picks for him, any truth to that or did I just imagine that?.. lol

3 1sts! it’s a BS starting point
at 18-25% he isn’t worth much, yes he one of the best offensive D in the leauge, but the contract is rough. Even at 25% retained i would only expect a 1st and a B level prospect at best.
but at 50% he would be worth premier return. and frankly it wouldn’t be a horrible idea if we could get a high level RD prospect and 2 1sts. since all 3 pieces would be on ELC or bridge deals till his cap hit is off the books.
