1- Sabres aren’t interested in trading assets for Kane, they likely will approach him as a UFA though

2- you’re asking for too much anyways, likely not moving Savoie

3- Sabres wouldn’t need retention, we have TONS of Cap Space

4- MUCH more likely to use our assets to get someone like Meier- who can be a long term part of our new core- not a declining player who’d be here for the twilight of his career

5- Even IF everything i said above is wrong, and the Sabres do want Kane & would overpay like that to get him-
KANE WOULD NOT WAIVE to come to Buffalo (right now)

I don't get why at this point in his career Kane is seen as anything as other than a liability - retain 50% and throw in a sweetener then maybe I'd take him - and I don't give a damn he came from Buffalo.
