Time for a change

Created by: GeauxPreds1
Team: 2022-23 Nashville Predators
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 9, 2023
Published: Feb. 10, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This team is desperately in need of a complete change of philosophy in our upper management. Poile is holding on with everything he has to remain relevant and a chance at a cup which this team clearly doesn’t have. It’s time to clean house and give a new guy to chance to bring new ideas and who knows how to build a hockey team these days instead of being stuck in the stone ages. Might of over did the trades but getting rid of the upper management is the first priority to me

Calgary doesn't need a 6 million dollar dman they have no roster spot for. If he was playing, would probably be bottom pairing. Also how do we afford this?

Sabres wouldn’t be interested imo
We aren’t really looking for a goalie anymore
And i don’t think we’re gonna trade Savoie either

Doubt the Leafs have much interest in paying a 1st for Niederreiter. He's sort of that borderline top 6 forward. He's not really a big goal scorer. He's not much better than what the Leafs have access to already. In the realm of a 1st for a winger with term, someone like Adam Henrique would probably be much more attractive and likely available for a 1st. He scores more, he's more versatile, can penalty kill, can play center, etc.

Basically my point is that there are much better options out there in the world of wingers if the Leafs are willing to move a 1st round pick.

Probably fair for Sissons and always thought he'd be a good fit on the Avs, but not sure how they'd fit him cap-wise going forward.

I'm not convinced Fabbro is a solution for Ottawa

They NEED a guy to play with Thomas Chabot and allow him to go all offense without worrying about defense (like Karlsson when he got his Methot)

Chabot plays way too much and tries to do way too much, he has been carrying an awful defense for years, time to give him a break. They need to target better than Fabbro

I'd give up DeBrincat and even more if necessary for a Top RHD

Fabbro was josi’s partner last year when he got 90 plus points. Hynes is an incompetent coach

Hynes is Scotty Bowman compared to DJ Smith though!!!

How did Fabbro played last year when he was paired with Josi? I don't have a TON of viewings recently but everytime I watched Fabbro, I didn't necessarily liked what I saw

I think he played pretty defensively responsible last year. I thought we were gonna run him again on the top pairing with josi but we traded for a 33 defenseman with a cap hit of 6.75 for 4 more years and everything looks different and much worse in my opinion. He’s somehow in Hynes doghouse. I think who ever gets him will be happy and he’ll be a solid top 4 defenseman in my opinion

You definitely are thinking outside the box. Some of these trades aren't bad, just may have to change around some of the returns the Preds get
