Lol, i was just thinking something along that line this morning. I had 2025 2nd and rights to Quinn Olson instead of Lohrei.

Interesting concept.

Pretty solid effort. The Kane, Toews and AA deals seem fair for both teams. The value is right in the Pens trade, but I don't see the Hawks trading TRad, or trading for a young goalie. And I'd take Lohrei and Lafferry out of the Bruins trade. Lohrei is a good prospect, but not at a position of need for the Hawks. Hawks will want a pick for Lafferty in all likelihood.

Bruins already have 3 left shot Dman who are better than McCabe.

Kane deal is interesting for sure from a Stars perspective. My only thing is make it lottery protected so if they miss the playoffs it transfers. I don’t think Dallas will have to worry about missing playoffs but my biggest fear is trading a 1st rounder before you’ve even played a game of that season. It’s worked out so far with Lundkvist thankfully

I definitely think some sort of protection is warranted. I'd be good with top 10 protection, but I don't think playoff protection is doable in this case. I would only do playoff protection with a team that was sending a 2023 pick.

Nill has already said he isn’t trading a first rounder for a rental

Yeah, I wonder if he only does it if he can A. Re-sign Kane and B. Do it with a number that isn’t horrible, which likely means he doesn’t do it
