Additional Details:
I feel like in most cases, holtz would definitely be a part of this package (maybe say replacing Shar and Casey or something), but I think if we were planning to trade him we would be giving him playing time. He’s stuck in healthy scratch purgatory right now and getting about 1 game every month. If we were planning to trade him, we would have to give him at least some playing time to up his value, but I digress.

If we're getting Mukh and Casey then yeah I'd definitely take that over Holtz. Sharks have solid forward prospects and will no doubt get another quality FW in the top 10 at this draft.

Change Casey to Walsh

Idk I feel like we’re gonna have to give him (or someone equal in value) up if this is intense as it seems. Plus I’m not 100% sure Casey will ever be able to find a spot here with the way our D pipeline is (unless we shift him to forward position, which is something that has happened with him at UMich and worked)

if im the sharks i might actually like casey more than holtz. they seem to have a very weak future on defense and they can develop him on their own

Walsh can play right now, Casey cant. Muk would be a stretch to play next yr but probably could. If Muk goes Casey should stay IMO

Meier is the best forward the Sharks have and is in his prime. Could be the best forward shipped at the TDL.

Crazy to think a top prospect wouldn't be coming back, but then again we're about to possibly retain 30/40% on EK for the rest of the contract.

So who knows what's going on anymore with the Sharks. How about a 6th rounder in 2025 for Meier?

No thanks. Try Walsh and Zetterlund and we will retain.

I'd rather just keep Boqvist as 3C instead of Barbashev.

It'd be fine.
Leave him in college / AHL for 3 more seasons after this one, then trade Marino when he's in the last year of his deal and profit.
Suggested 26/27 D corps:
Hughes - Nemec
Siegenthaler - Hamilton
Vilén (or maybe Bahl / Okhotiuk) - Casey

Besides, dealing Mukh + Casey along with that 1st is an overpayment for Meier.
Casey or Mukhammadulin could comfortably be swapped out for one of Bahl, Okhotiuk and Walsh and the trade would remain fair.

If hes not in, I dont think you win. You dont get 4 untouchable prospects for a Meier deal

Who are the "four untouchables" ... Hughes, Nemec, Holtz...and ??
Not Casey or Muk, they are included.
Can't be Foote.
People aren't onto to Filmon or Vilen yet.
Bahl, Okhotiuk, Walsh are just role guys.
Stillman is meh.
Zetterlund is too old.
...so fourth is gotta be Gritsyuk, no?

Hughes and nemec are the only untouchables here. I’m not saying holtz is untouchable, in fact he’s far from it, I just personally think he’s not gonna be traded with the way we have been handling him as of recent

Yeah, he is not being primed for a trade.

Our outward deadline chips will be Bahl, Okhotiuk, Walsh...pieces like that.

Those dont get you Meier. Those are all fringe NHL players too old to really be prospects

Bahl and Okhotiuk haven’t been struggling. Walsh had a rough December defensively, but looks like he is righting the ship. His overall game is usually very good 5v5, but it’s just his pathway to NHL minutes is blocked. He is probably an NHLer on a lot of teams.
