Meier without Knies

Description
Is there any way that the Leafs can land Timo Meier without parting ways with Matthew Knies? I know Dubas doesnt want to deal his 1st round pick but you would have to think theres no deal with out it. What would San Jose want in return? Which prospects of ours would they want not named Knies? Does it Start with Rasmus Sandin and Nick Roberston? Fraser Minten? Who would they value most

Is there a way? No. The Leafs get easily outbid probably even with Knies in the offer. A team like the Devils just have a lot more to work with prospect wise.

That's not getting Meier. Knies will be needed if you're going to compete with NJ if they're offering Holtz.

I agree. But to beat devils (and probably canes) offers I’d imagine that’s what it would take. Maybe flip the other first to a second and add another small piece.
