Legare has 12 goals in 102 games in the Ahl. Sounds like just Kapanen light to me and regular Kapanen is enough of a headache.

Kapanen is producing at a 40 point pace for a full season while dragging around the corpse of Jeff Carter. Let's take things into perspective a bit.

Hence the word “light”…as in not as good. Kapanen has a great shot but only 7 goals. He’s been underwhelming for his potential. Legare has a lot of potential and a great shot but only has 12 total goals in his season and a half of Ahl play. Imagine how much worse that’d be here.

Legare had a good shot in the Q, where scoring was much easier, but his overall game wasn't good. He's also a pretty below average skater, which is killing him. He would be drowning at the NHL level.
