What part of Detroit and Larkin being close to an extension isn't being understood? First off it would take Newhook and then some to get Larkin. Nor does Colorado have the 8 x $8,500,000 to offer him. We don't need a smallish LD in Girard and Compher and Foudy are no goes.

Quibbling about this offer is bonkers. It’s a massive overpay. Why is Larkin getting 10x the return of mark stone?

Larkin already turned down 8x8 and he has 13 points in his last 7 games. UFA or not his value has gone through the roof.

Uhhh sure pal. Stone was a way way way better player at the time of the trade than Larkin ever has been.

Why is he getting way more than horvat? Why is he getting way more than any other expiring contract that’s been moved over the last 20 years?

Maybe some bias here?

If it got to the point of selling Larkin it's gonna have to have newhook in there I'd think.
