Description
sounds like its gonna happen any minute. reports suggesting canucks could get 'significant' return. whatever that means.
Trades
1.
VAN
  1. Smith, Craig
  2. 2023 1st round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Boston a weird one, doubt they get both schenn and gavrikov. If both of bostons 2023 1st and 3rd are gone to columbus. only thing of interest would be Lysell
BOS
2.
VAN
  1. Foote, Cal
  2. 2023 4th round pick (TBL)
Additional Details:
would honestly be shocked if Cal Foote isnt a Canuck by game 1 next season. 2+2=4
TBL
3.
VAN
  1. Puljujärvi, Jesse
  2. 2023 1st round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
same thing as Boston trade. Cap dump makes the price a 1st. If no Puju then maybe Bourgault and a late pick?
EDM
4.
VAN
  1. Iorio, Vincent
  2. 2023 4th round pick (WSH)
Additional Details:
dont care if WSH isnt interested i want vinny lol
WSH
5.
VAN
  1. Lucic, Milan
  2. 2023 1st round pick (CGY)
Additional Details:
Flames not looking like buyers anymore but if they wanna be bold this would give them big time cap space

I can't see VAN gets anything above a 3rd. Will be interesting...

ive been very much in the camp schenn COULD fetch a first in the right situation. Chairiot and Savard have at recent deadlines. Between Schenns cap hit, physicality, and being that hes a righty i think someones gonna overpay

yup seen that report, also seen later pick with prospect attatched as a possible return(tb,wsh). and obviously if the canuks are taking cap back it drives the price up (bos, edm, cgy)

The Oilers aren’t trading a 1st with a guy who’s contract expires in 20 games and doesn’t have a ridiculous salary.

it costs teams either a 1st or 2nd to dump 3+ mil in cap. Not to mention schenn is in the deal. If they can likely get a 2nd without taking cap back a late first isnt out of the question if they can fully maximize value

For one year, it’s not that much. Minnesota just ate 1.875 for a 4th

Flames don’t need to move Lucic (although they should) and he wouldn’t cost much if we did. Flames will have $5-6mil in accrued Cap Space by the Deadline and will gain another $2.5mil by placing Kylington on LTIR if he doesn’t return as well

We’ll either a) keep Lucic and have him fall off the books for nothing b) move him out as part of a trade to a team willing to take his contract back or c) trade him up to 50% retained for a player, pick or prospect in return

Lucic is owed less than $500k in actual out of pocket cash, so he’s not the Cap Dump or Financial Liability many of you would like to believe

Schenn is simply not returning a 1st Round Pick either. Be happy with a late 2nd or more likely a 3rd + maybe a sweetener otherwise re-sign and keep him

The rumour is a 3rd and mid prospect or 2nd. The difference between Schenn and players like Chiarot is that Schenn isnt seen as a top pair shutdown D, Chiarot rightly or wrongly was seen as that along with the fact that Schenn could have been had for free many times over his career as he hasnt been a regular nhl'r whereas Chiarot has never been a healthy scratch

so if minny eats 1.8 for a 4th. a 2nd for 3 mil makes sense. add a 2nd for luke schenn aswell. 2 2nds for a late first?

freidge reporting a team had a 3rd on the table but he thinks that offer was beat (assumiing TOR or CGY since in the same podcast he reported they are out on schenn)

My offer was a 3rd + Nic Meloche who is probably just as good as Luke Schenn, just less experienced, but isn’t getting a chance or playing time in CGY

VAN adds for Cal Foote for sure.

TBL would be silly to Trade Foote and rarely used Schenn when they did have him.

You’re best bet with TBL might be Haydn Fleury either straight across or maybe they throw VAN a C Pick/Prospect, but I doubt they’re interested in Schenn at all tbh

TB reported interest AND Foote reported on the block.

schenn has also resurected his career in VAN and is having the best season of his career

schenn would cost a 2nd on his own. Boston doesnt have a 2023 2nd so if its to boston its either a first and a cap dump or a late pick and B prospect (Lohrei, Beecher)
