For Wilson, that would need to be Knies and not Amirov. OR Minten + 1st + Niemela.

I would gladly accept that Anderson trade as a Leafs fan. Anderson is a 3.5m forward making 5.5m a year. Him at 2.75m would be super enticing based on his size and speed. But I don't see Montreal retaining for that long.

I am interest in Wilson (50% retained). I would throw a package and a half for him at that price. We would have him this year and next.

I am a leafs fan and those are both bad trades. Also, when Murry comes back this week this team won't work under the cap. Lastly, Amirov is not a trade asset at this point. He has brain cancer and the leafs are seeing him through it.

Kerfoot is useless, Amirov doesn’t have much value so it’s a 3rd and a 2025 1st for Wilson. Terrible value.

Granted, but you have to assume he will be on the roster at some point before the playoffs and have a cap compliant team. Not many can pull off a Tampa and hide 9 mill all season

It's not about hiding money or circumventing the cap. It's about icing a healthy roster. Murray doesn't pass the smell test. He could be declared healthy on March 3rd and pick up a new injury on March 7. It would be a mistake for Dubas to take him off of LTIR on the assumption that he'll stay healthy. It will be gross negligence on his part. He needs every cent to make this team better by March 3, he has already sold off so much of the future in terms of picks.

As it’s already been said, pretty garbage offer for Wilson. You’ll have to make a trade offer that is an overpayment in the eyes of leafs fans to start the conversation. He won’t be moved.

When Murry is healthy, you cannot just leave him on Ltir. Thats against league rules as it concerns the cba. So, yes you want a healthy lineup and want to use every cent to make the team better, but unless is like Muzzin's case where it has been declared that he is done for this year, you have to have the room for when Murry is cleared, even if it is for one game.
