    "top prospect" doesn't mean anything. It was probably just Cormier or something from Vegas' offer.

    bro if San Jose walks away with a deal like that top offer (casey, zetterlund, 1st and other small pieces), San Jose wins BIG time. Both ides get what they want but the Sharks are not one piece away. And casey is a beast.

    Who's considered a "top prospect" can be pretty subjective sometimes.

    If “top prospect” was Morrow or Cormier and they are getting Casey, I can see how they turned it down. They’d be adding Zetterlund just to take Johnsson for a couple months.

    (If the mystery piece turns out not to be Casey…who knows)

    Think San Jose did better by waiting.....although you should never believe what writers say.....they don't know. Got three NHLers and first rounder. Plus the Sharks get some cap space to another player next season.
