Even if he does NOT improve, this is still a good deal. At worst, he's solid injury insurance for league min. Every good team wants a dozen such players in their organization.

I doubt he ever becomes an NHL regular, but for the occassional call up- hes fine. a good insurance option.

He might be talking about Demko, but he didn't sign his elc until April 2016.
Boeser was drafted in the same year as him, didn't sign his elc until 2017...

He might actually be the oldest tenured Canuck, who signed his elc in December 2015
