I don't think Montreal would trade Xhekaj but if we did I think that's a good deal for us

That goaltending tandem would be suspect.
Still don't think Philly wants to do that retention.

Walker doesn;t add enough to that deal for PHI to add 2 players and retention. Walker isnt quite a cap dump, but he has minimal value. I dont think you get seeler for walker straight up. I think you'd get deslauriers alone for that offer, but dont know about retention, its not so much about the 800k retention, which is miniscule, its that they give up 1/3 of their retention spots for 3 yrs.

Deslauriers probably gets a 3rd on the open market no probelm

It's essentially two 3rd round picks.

If you think walker is worth a 3rd round pick....I dont think PHI thinks he is when they have at least 3 better options than him going into 2023-24. I just dont see PHI having interest in it, its too lopsided.

Xhekaj has that IT factor at a cheap price that makes him invaluable (aka no reason to trade him- especially during a tank). However, this is an offer that will really keep KH awake at night for turning it down.

However, could we interest you in Edmundson or Harris?

-Don't see Philly having interest in Walker, it feels like they're going more rebuild.

-The Durzi-Xhekaj deal is not unreasonable, I just doubt Montreal moves Xhekaj until they get a better feel of what he can be at the NHL level.

They'd definitely want picks at least so what would it cost? I don't think you are getting a 2nd for Deslauriers even with retention. Maybe Grundstrom, a 3rd, and 4th for Deslauriers 800k retained and Seeler?
