Olofsson is a great goal scorer, but he's a one dimensional player and isn't what Verbeek is trying to build. Comtois and Jones do fine in the bottom 6. It's not a deal we take as it's not solving and issues for us. If we're a playoff team next season it's because we grabbed a wildcard spot and have no ability to mount a serious challenge.

As a rule, rebuilding teams don't trade out controlled assets for pending UFAs.
