I think that's a bit too much value for Garland. Canucks would be content with the second round pick.

the rest is a cap dump to make the money work which is why they'd also have to pay more, to get VAN to take money back

You might get Oliver Kylington from CGY for that offer, but certainly not Jacob Pelletier

Here we go again with the Petry to Dallas horseshift. No thanks, I’d give up that 2023 4th to just to keep him away from Dallas.

Anyone else remember when Habs fans thought they’d get a haul from Dallas for that guy last summer (Bourque plus a first LOL, yeah SONK! how about Matheson and a fourth!) all the while acting like it was set in stone they had to replace Klingberg with another expensive righty. Jim Nill did the smart thing and traded a first for a prospect further along and more of a sure thing then a guy you just drafted, and headed in the opposite trajectory as a 35 year old Petry.

Carter won't waive and you'd have to pay to get rid of him.

To be honest, Matheson was an amazing pickup for Petry so I'm happy with that return. Petry is an excellent transition player and I honestly feel he would be a great fit with Heiskanen.
Lundkvist is mid and Dallas majorly overpaid for him.

Figured that would be the case for most Flyers fans. I like Sanheim a lot, long-term Dumoulin replacement for Pittsburgh and still relatively young.
