Value for Hayes is fine but he'd need some retention for the Avs to be able to afford him so they'd have to pass.

Happy for Konecny getting back on track after a couple down years, but I'm not sure he's worth that and like @Gmonwy pointed out, CGY doesn't have the Cap Space to that

Maybe a Kylington + Vladar + a Mid-Pick with Sandstrom coming back OR something Bigger around Hanifin + Vladar or Kylington +???? for Konecny + Sandheim (maybe CGY adds more for Provorov) + either Sandstrom or Seeler

We'd probably want a cheap Goalie and/or 7th D-Man in return if we sent Vladar or Kylington out, unless Gilbert is deemed sufficient and/or better than Seeler

Still don't think Hayes fits with the Avs stylistically but if management and Bednar thought they could make it work, the price is right.

It’s been reported that it’s likely he’s not getting signed/will choose not to sign in Philly. Less to do with a personal opinion on a player and more listening to what people with connections in the org are saying. Maybe things have changed but I’m not sure. I’d rather sign a first round pick and see than not sign him and get the compensation pick
