Maybe. But all of the cap dumps and placeholders Davidson has acquired, so far, expire either this year or next year. That indicates to me that they probably won't be tanking beyond next season. At that point there would still be three years left on Campbell's contract. It probably depends on how the draft lottery shakes out, because it makes sense that they might want to add key free agents and legit future pieces if they do end up landing Bedard or Fantilli, Bedard especially. If they don't land either of those players, I could see them dragging the tank out a bit longer and maybe tanking for Celebrini in 2024 and Misa in 2025 as well. In which case, yeah, I could see them snagging Campbell or one of the other cap dump goalies out there.

Could also trade him in the future, especially if he bounces back!
