I love that we pulled out a win but that lineup can’t stay the same. They need to shake up the top 6, especially that 2nd line. Nylander can’t stay with Tavares.

no, but at the same time Marner and Matthews have been kinda buzzing. JT third line?

No idea what they will do for Game 4 but you can’t roll out Game 3 lines again hoping things will be different.

But for Game 5 I’d love:

This was TOR most successful line all season:
Bunting Matthews Nylander (why this wasn’t a line from Game One is nuts)

Jarnkrok Tavares Marner (again another line with a ton of success)

Knies O’Reilly Acciari has (our best 3rd line in a long time)

ZAR Kampf Kerfoot (no difference between Lafferty or Kerfoot) and Kerfoot works anywhere

And with Maroon boarding on McCabe, Kuckerov cross-checking Reilly and drawing blood, Stamkos cross-checking a prone Reilly, or Stamkos starting a secondary fight with Matthews - the NHL managed to discipline a Leaf (fine).

If Lafferty wants to stay in the lineup, stuff like this won’t help his case. That was very undisciplined.

But fukcin laughable HE is the only one to get fined today

yea don't punish stammer for jumping Matthews while the ref's holding him back and while Matthews is literally picking up sticks for his teammates lol I was so mad about that. And then people online have the audacity to clown Matthews for not fighting well

I think we can all agree the reffing in pretty much every series has been garbage, every night there is a fan base getting jobbed.

If anyone on the leafs did it they would get a major and a game thanks to Leafs tax

But nah its Tampa so DOPS will do absolutely NOTHING

At least Tampa fans who say thats okay watched Rielly snipe one on their so called god of a goalie

Kept seeing comments on Stamkos wailing on Matthews and how he showed him something

What Stamkos showed was he was a coward and was wailing on an unsuspecting Matthews who still had both his gloves on. Should have got an instigator penalty but hey all resulted in ROR and Rielly going hey TAMPA FU

But either way I guarantee you if Matthews is aware and gets both his gloves off Stamkos would have got his ass knocked out as Papi would have gave him a reason to retire.





Like seriously talks to ref, grabs Matthews, and rest is history

Both get 5mins....

This summer priority 1... 2 and 3 = Extend ROR, Sammy, and Acciari

ROR has been by far the best deadline acquisition in Leafs history. Someone finally passed Muzzin.

I would lock him up and yes I know the age but as a 3C on this team man they could push finals once Boston falls off this summer.

Knies has been gross. JT and Willy line was not good defensively last night in particular. Matthews and Marner have been good 5v5 by their standard but not incredible. Spread them out. ROR shutdown line, he can take some shifts up in the top 6 + PP + PK to boost his ice time (order of which should be Marner, Matthews, ROR, Nylander, Tavares, Knies, Jarnkrok up front)

Knies - Matthews - Nylander
Jarnkrok - JT - Marner
Kerfoot - ROR - Acciari
ZAR - Kampf - Lafferty

keep D the same:

Rielly - Schenn
McCabe - Brodie
Gio - Holl

ice time very closely spread but order: Rielly/Brodie/McCabe all roughly near the same, Holl, Gio/Schenn roughly near the same

I don't understand why splitting Matthews and Marner would be a bad idea. Why is Keefe reluctant to do that. It would make things really tough on Tampa.

Seeing Tavares struggle to keep up with the play is rough and having Marner there would really help that line. For me, this is mind boggling.

If you look at the past two regular seasons + the two playoff series to this point, here are the goals against for the Leafs against Vasilevskiy: 2, 3, 6, 1, 5, 3, 3, 3, 4, 3, 1, 3, 2, 4, 3, 7, 4 (average of 3.65 goals per game).


The Maple Leafs have gotten 14 goals past Andrei Vasilevskiy through 3 games. Here’s the basic break down:

Yea a GM 7 against him would be terrifying. Only way I would be comfortable is if Murray was back. As I know the injuries and this and that.

But you dont get the nickname Mr. Game 7 by penguins fans for nothing (Both he and Williams shared it). I could honestly see him steal that game

Hopefully though we dont ever have to see that.

Speaking of Murray, any updates on him? I'm curious as to when he ready to be the backup. My only worry about bringing Murray in is... how long has it been since he played? Yeah... 😑

Hes recovering thats all we know. He hit his head hard so they probs want to be 100% certain hes okay as rn there is no real need for him. As for how long its been I believe 2 and a half weeks. But hes come back and did well before. But in a game 7 that is someone whose done it
