I doubt any team would want Miller now since they missed their opportunity at last year's trade deadline. Also, his contract won't age well.

Garland would make sense if his cap hit was about a million dollars less. Carolina needs to address the top end of the offense. Garland doesn't do that. If he was a little cheaper to throw on the 3rd line, yeah they probably do this. But this could greatly impact their ability to fix the scoring woes

Canes would have to accept that, but I’ve gone the completely opposite direction on Garland. I thought he’d be a perfect fit when he was on the Yotes…but I don’t think he fits what the Canes want to do.

The Canes have plenty of undersized forwards that can do what Garland can do. They need something different.
