I dont know, theres part of me that thinks if they miss the playoffs, they need to find a way to get younger.

Adding Staal, Donato, Schenn, Varlamov, Murray, resigning Zucker while losing probably the best ready now youngster in poulin is probably a guarantee to be the oldest team in the league for the next few years AND the chances of the team getting better is pretty unrealistic base on the fact that almost all of the teams key players is approaching or in their mid 30s.

The way PIT fans treat their goalies is so odd and so consistent. MAF...HOF goalie part of 3 cup runs, gets run out of town for "new sexy" Matt Murray. Then PIT fans want MAF back. All of a sudden "new sexy" MM isn't playing so well...gets run out of town for "new new sexy" Jarry. Now PIT fans want Murray back. Only a matter of time before PIT fans was Jarry back.

CHI trade isn't the worst. But, I don't think you are gonna dump all that cap AND get Dickinson, for that.

Murray's in sort of a bad limbo area right now. He in no way should be the starting goalie of a contending team, but he's also too expensive to be a back up. You're better off running Varlamov/Desmith imo

Yes the treatment of MM wasn't good, but it was obvious he was going through stuff and Jarry was the better goalie. And that panned out. Believe me - Pens fans don't want Murray back

Take out Dickinson going back to Pens and Hawks might consider it.

Appreciate you saying that. Dickinson is having maybe his best season in the NHL this season. He's been really good.

Yeah. He surprised me too. When he came to CHI from VAN as a pure cap dump, I expected him to just be a body and probably make a lot of mistakes. But he has been solid in every role he has played with CHI. He even had some legit success playing on the top line with Kane before he was traded. It wasn't just fluky or because he was playing with Kane, he was contributing and creating. Also, when he first came in on a line Lafferty, they were tearing it up together for a little bit. Definitely not a cap dump anymore, if he ever really was.

Making it (2) 2nds would make it more enticing to include Dickinson. Providing it was before the draft so that those picks could be used to move up the draft board.....IMO
