Edmonton isn't paying a 1st for your cap dump. Nice try though.

Rangers can't afford Halak at $1.5m as a back up next season so no chance they would trade for Allen to back up Shesterkin.

Josh Freaking Anderson is way overpaid, he's basically a $5,500,000 paid winger for one 47 point season. He's basically a 30 point winger who's grossly overpaid. And he's not worth a 1st round pick.

And Allen isn't worth no 2nd round pick either. You'd be lucky to get a 3rd or 4th round pick for him.

Guhle alone doesn't get Carter Hart, Hart would get a 1st and 2nd and at least another B level prospect. Overvalue Guhle much?

Edmundsen pick is about the only realistic move on here.

Even that one isn't realistic - Edmundson has herniated disc issues and his play has been quite poor this year. I doubt it gets better next year, but we'll see.

I beg to differ -- LA isn't trading what is now our first pick in the 2023 draft for one year of a dubious Joel Edmundson. A 2024 fourth conditional on games played for a third is about the highest I can imagine us going.

You're not trading your 2023 first round pick for Edmunson, You;re trading your 2023 second round pick for Edmundson.

But i agree now, That none of these trades are remotely realistic. I wouldn't give up more than a conditional 3rd for Edmundson. he's not a major upgrade for you guys.

The highest price for a goaltender in the last decade was 9th overall for Schneider, and he was one of the best goaltenders in the league for 3 years running at the time.

Hart isn't anywhere near the same level and getting a 1st at all would be high value. Similar or better goaltenders have been moved for about a 2nd and 3rd on the high end and Hart has been unimpressive for 3 consecutive seasons.

I'd completely understand if Philly decided to keep Hart, but a valuation as high as you expect ignores precedent, the current market, and scoring trends. All of which have goaltender values at a low in terms of price and impact.

I didn't say that we were trading our first-round pick. I said we would be "trading what is now our first pick in the 2023 draft" for one year of Joel Edmundson. I'm surprised you didn't grasp the difference.

The difference or lack of between Eddy's stats this year and every year is nothing.
They're just shocked when they look his stats up and see he's not an Analystics Darling
But has been to 2 SCF in 5 years including a cup

Eddy's top end for offense is like i think 8 pts higher then this year
The only area he's declined is +/- really

I do get the Frustration though as in your situation with Walker where he's actually injury prone and declining paying to bring in Eddy is like the worst nightmare ever.
I know it can see us become quiet defensive when someone dumps the clearly declining Walker who's injured as much if not more then.

So trades for injury prone players not being appreciated i get.
