I assume this is with the Jackets winding up in the 2 spot (cause no one is trading the Bedard pick) and the Hawks lower. I only consider this if the Hawks end up at 5 or worse (otheriwse I am picking Carlsson or Michkov and relatively happy and keeping the Tampa pick at 20/21 currently) & Vlassic

Sharks would offer up 4th and 28th(NJD) to move up to 2nd! What else would it take?

Even at 5 or worse, I'd probably just lick my wounds, keep Vlasic, and draft the picks where they stand. There is still A LOT of talent at 5th OA and beyond as well as the next couple drafts.

Maybe I'm just high on Fantilli but I think i'd do it. He is a legit superstar in the making. Carlsson will be good too but not as good IMO. Michkov is a complete mystery at this point. So much risk involved.

Losing Vlasic sucks and the drop from TB 1st to early 2nd sucks too but Fantilli is going to be an absolute franchise changer. Frankly If I'm Columbus Im staying with Fantilli and not even thinking of trading down to "cash" in on some extras.

If Columbus wins a top three pick, they take the pick. There's no chance they trade it.

It is well known the Jackets want Bedard like everyone else does but…I agree the Jackets would absolutely take Fantilli. Jarmo has been scouting Fantilli very hard.

Very though provoking but I don't think I'm moving hypothetically #3,#21 and a guy who should be playing top 4 in our D lineup next year. I love fantilli but am prepared to be patient for Michkov and Carlsson is doing very well in the SHL playoffs that I think he can be an extremely effective player. If we were further along in our rebuild timeline, this is certainly something I could see us doing but the timing is off for CHI.

SJS may be more willing.
