Toronto would rather have Woll than Stolarz. Woll is on a great contract

Canucks beat out ~10 teams to sign Hirose, who has looked excellent in comparison to other members of our dcore this season. They won't be giving up on him for a 4th rounder.

Toronto will never trade Woll. Reliable backup and is young

Why does COL do that? Short answer they don’t.

Canucks decline. Hirose is a keeper. No reason to trade him after beating out 10 teams to get him

A lot of stuff that doesn't make sense for the Ducks to do.

Starting with goal, Woll isn't needed because Dostal is the future here. Ericksson Ek has no value as he's been garbage in the AHL this season. They'll cut him loose or *maybe* sign him if they want to stick a guy in the ECHL. Clang and Alexander will be the Gulls tandem next season. Gibson and Dostal in Anaheim.

Then you've got a 26 man roster. Pedersen and Foegle and Megna are not needed, there are no spots for them.

De Leo was signed for a reason. To be a veteran in San Diego and a captain of that team. They aren't trading him for a 19 yr old kid because they have plenty of those and what they need is a veteran and a captain.

Girard doesn't play a style that the Ducks need. Well, what I mean is they need big, nasty defenders way more than they need what Girard brings.

Hirose is just a waste of a signing. Ducks have too many drafted players already to bother.

Too much money for Drysdale, no way he makes close to 4M after sitting out the entire season with injury.

A 2-yr bridge on Zegras is just stupid. It'll cost much, much more AAV going that direction than giving him 8 years now. Just look at the mess Vancouver is in with Petterson's next contract because they bridged him. Matthew Tkachuk' is another good example of a super high end player that was bridged and the team got F'd for doing it.

What was even the point here?

All of that wheeling and dealing and the team went nowhere.
      Dostal >>> Woll
You picked up more bottom 6 players that we don't have room for.
You're playing 1/3 of the defense on their off hand when they've no experience at doing so.
You even away a winger we are desperately short on for talent for a LHD which we are about to be overflowing with.

Canucks decline. They beat out quite a number of other teams to sign Hirose and he's looking great so far. I'd rather see what he is than trade him for a mid round pick, chances are Hirose will be better than whoever we'd get in the 4th round anyways.
