trading Rico plus a pick for the big ol Nikita Zadorov feels like to much even though I do love the Zadorov add as a partner for Drysdale especially if we can then give him another contract for like 2 years as well

Fowler Helleson
Zadorov Drysdale
LaCombe Shattenkirk

Graves is a great player but we can't sign him to that contract. 3 years is what we'd want, andn5 years is what we'd be able to do maximum.

I'm not entirely sure why you traded for Zadorov to play him on his off hand while Calgary has 4 RHD on their roster, one of them would make more sense.

Silf is not worth that much, Carrick is probably right but we'd likely leave his as a 14th forward to take someone's head off as needed.

Really not sure any of the bottom 6 signings are necessary, we have our own young guys to bring up and this just clogs the way up.

We should sign Zegras for 8 seasons and Terry for 7. Five years for Zegras brings him right to free agency.

I wouldn't go above 5 million or longer than 5 years for Ryan Graves. I'm with @GiggyWithGibby -- the other three free-agent signings are unnecessary.

There's a chance that all of Benoit-Olivier Groulx, Simon Benoit and Axel Andersson put in at least some time on the main roster next season, so you should sign those RFAs, too. Whether we should tender Max Comtois his Qualifying Offer is a matter of lively debate among the Anaheim faithful.

Adam Henrique is the ideal leader and two-way player for Bedard/Fantilli, Zegras, McTavish, Lundestrom, Pastujov, Gaucher et al., so I wouldn't be trading him any more. And I'd rather get a veteran RhD in free agency than expend an asset to acquire Zadorov just to play him on his off side. My opinion would be different if we can't land Graves.

I'd be happy to get a 2023 fourth or 2024 third for Jakob Silfverberg in his current state.

I would MUCH rather get rid of McGinn than Carrick.

I don't love sundqvist, but i love the idea of a big forward

I think Mac T plays 1C with bedard on the wing to start

I wonder if it's more worth exploring the trade market of a big forward that needs a change of scenery and can come at a good price due to their cap hit/the other team's cap situation. Maybe Anthony Mantha, Brock Boeser, Tom Wilson (doubt he'd be available)

Mantha's biggest issue is a low compete/laziness, I would not want him on this roster. Wilson maybe, but he is a huge goon and likely Washington wants too much to move him. One of Boeser or Beauvillier may be a smart pickup from cap crunched Vancouver.

Jiving with the ducks potential window,

How do we feel about these UFA D-men:
Vince Dunn, Damon Severson, Dumba?

I'm in the camp that the ducks are in dire need of a goon or goon-adjacent. Wilson is a very very productive goon

Dumba would be an excellent goon adjacent get, fills a hole at 1RD with Fowler for a few years, sunsets down to 2nd pairing. Great leadership, great locker room guy, throw HUGE hits to get the team back in it.

Severson is good, but I would want more defensive focus, looking at a guy like Mayfield who eats huge minutes and is a great shutdown D man.

Dunn is wrong handed, he is likely going to want a big deal, and Anaheim should really be picking up someone for 2-3 years on the left, lots of very strong talent starting in the AHL this season at LHD, one of them likely makes the jump in 24/25 full time.

I would like mayfield. I doubt Gudas would want to play for a non-contending team, but his style is something we need

I’m on the fence in regards to moving Zadorov

I don’t see the need for Henrique, but if we did take him + a 3rd for Zadorov, he’d have to come 50% retained
