I mean that's still on Dubas. He has the power to trade them if he seems fit. Also think Keefe is a major problem, dude gets outcoached every year in the playoffs and refuses to make changes.

yeah that's a good point, like there honestly no way Keefe doesn't have dirt on somebody in that org to still be around

The era for Pridham is upon us and honestly for the man who helped create the NHL cap and its rules will be interesting to see how he handles the job of GM

Like how he runs the cap got a feeling we are gonna see some calculated moves and contracts.

Priorities are rn

1. Extend the guys
2. Make trades
3. Draft
4. Decide who in management stays and goes. Probs will see Keefe gone in July and I got a strong feeling I know whose coming to be the replacement and people will not like it

Quenneville wasn't allowed by the league to come back. Stop pushing this narrative

I'd say he's gone this year. Think the new GM has to see he's a problem.

The funny thing I see is all these GM names have popped up but there is someone nobody is talking about who actually could be an intriguing GM target for many teams

Doug Wilson

Guy wasnt the best in the end extending guys when he should have moved on but the pedigree is there

Good drafting (Late round wizard based on the record), good trades with a few wows. Seems like that guy who if your a young and upcoming team is perfect (No old guys to give big deals to)

If Toronto takes my gm im gonna be sad.

32 thoughts brought up BD Doug Armstrong as an ideal candidate.

Makes sense except he just resigned so if ya want him MLSE ya gotta paaaaaaay stl son. I don’t think they can afford the cost.

But Armstrong still signed with the Blues till 2026 or did he get fired

So how would he be a candidate

Now there is a Doug who we could see be GM of Toronto but its Doug Wilson

How legendary would it be for Cooley too not sign with Arizona. Unfortunately he was a Caps fan growing up, and grew up in Pittsburgh so either way he grew up hating Philly.

Imagine being a candidate to be the Leaves GM

And you know for sure that your boss will out you to the media in excruciating detail if you do not do exactly what he wants.

After thinking about it, I can’t imagine MLSE is enjoying how this is playing out thanks to Mr. Shanahan.

Facepalm your looking at it all wrong

Dubas overplayed his hand and got exposed

Monday oh u know my family comes first and I dont know if I want to be GM (Start the seed of doubt)

Thursday give me more money (What happened to Family)

Nah fam u played the family card then shifted to money 3 days later come on if you really wanted to be GM you would have signed that deal on Monday and moved on to conducting business but no u dont say anything till Thursday and go hey gimmie money and probs way to much power for the board to be comfortable with. Shanahan laid it all out there so the media wasnt second guessing things and putting out false stuff here and there. As if he didnt say anything it would have got out there eventually via another source. He gave the media everything they needed and Dubas got unfortunately got exposed.

But hey when you overplay your hand this is often what will happen. Wish him the best but at the same time its business. Former President and GM Doug McLean said it best. Dubas overplayed his hand and the whole situation could have been avoided if he didnt go out there and signed the deal given. But now he got exposed and MLSE pretty much put it out there this is what happened and dont come calling us about anymore details all are laid out there

He should join his former teammate Knies

Knies-Cooley-Holmberg would be a fun kids line

If you were wondering if this will be game 1 all over again ... probably not, but hey, Florida had a disallowed goal in the first few minutes of a period

I love how after it took almost 80 minutes of overtime for anyone to score, game 2 opens with a goal in the first two minutes lol
